The work of The Cedars Foundation has always been rooted in prayer and study of the Bible as the Word of God. This continues in the daily life of the Cedars Community and through hosting meetings for different groups for prayer with a local, national or international focus. As with other aspects of the operation of the charity, we seek to work in partnership with others as part of the church in the Medway towns and through links with Christian ministries elsewhere.
The Cedars Community of Prayer and Study has been established as a partnership between The Cedars Foundation and Issachar Ministries. It is now running monthly prayer and study retreats. There are also evenings of prayer – usually on the first Wednesday of the month. Further developments are being planned for the Autumn.
Resources for individual Bible study are available in the Learning Centre. It is hoped that there will also be courses and study days, providing Bible teaching which will include exploration of the Hebraic roots of the Christian faith and living with a Christian worldview in a pluralistic society. The Cedars also has resources for those wishing to explore a Biblical understanding of Creation.
